People always assume, that as a writer, words come easy to me. They assume that I always know the right words to say when it matters the most. However the truth is, it’s not always as easy as they make it seem.
The truth is sometimes it’s hard, to find the right words to say all that you really want to say in your heart: Like how much you mean to me, how much I love you or how grateful I am to God that out of all the families in the world, he chose ours and out of all the women in the world, he chose you: to bring me into this world.
I believe everything happens for a reason, that I was born by you, was no mistake. That I was raised by you, was nothing short of the will of God. The lessons I’ve learnt, the man I’ve become, I owe it all to you.
Yes, it is true we don’t always agree from time to time. Yes it’s true we don’t communicate as much as we should or would like. But the truth is I will always love you. And if there’s anything I’m sure of, it’s that someday soon, I’d make you proud. Happy Birthday, Mum.
